Brianna: Black Swan

Good evening!

It's getting pretty late here in Home Country...I should almost be saying good night. But then I realized that no one ever really greets anyone by saying 'good night'. It's never 'good night, Paper Clip! How are you?" It's, "good night, Paper Clip! See you tomorrow!"

My point is, it's 9:30 PM here. It's very dark outside, and I get more and more tired the longer I stare at the computer screen. I probably won't be going to bed for a while though, sadly. I have quite a bit to get done. Why am I blogging instead of getting things done? That's a bit of a long story.

So, it's been more than a week since I last graced any of you with my presence. That's probably because nothing at all has happened. I'm not even kidding. This week just flew by, without even an interesting detail leaking through. I feel like something must have happened, but I'm starting to get confused about which day is which.

Moving right along, tomorrow a new movie will be coming out: Black Swan.

Starring the very lovely Natalie Portman, Black Swan is the story of Nina, a young ballerina who gets picked to be the starring role in the ballet Swan Lake. If you don't know the plotline of Swan Lake, that's okay: you can follow the movie just fine without it.

Black Swan may sound like a fruity chick flick, but it most definitely isn't. It was rated R for strong sexual content, disturbing violent images, language, and drug use. The movie focuses, in my opinion, on the dangers of addiction. How far is too far? How much can you take before you lose it?

I recommend that everybody see this movie. It's pretty intense, though, so if you think you can't make it through it then don't go. It's not worth it if you don't see every minute.

Well, that's all I have time for tonight. Good night! Sleep well!

Brianna
